Rescue dog Penelope turned a simple Instagram video into a full personality showcase with her funny little habits. The rescued pup appeared in a reel shared by @brittany_rescues, where her owner highlighted the moments that set her apart. The clip showed Penelope sitting, spinning, napping, playing with toys, and moving with serious bulldog confidence. Her owner, Brittany DeVan, captioned the post, “This dog has probably the most unique personality that i’ve ever met.”

The Instagram video was posted by @brittany_rescues nine weeks ago and has drawn over 304K likes. The account describes Brittany DeVan as a bulldog mom based in Maryland. In the reel, Penelope, a gray-and-white bulldog, keeps showing why her owner called her personality so memorable.

The video opens with the on-screen text, “things that make penelope.” Penelope looks straight at the camera while sitting on the carpet with a round toy behind her. She has a calm face, but the next shots quickly show her more chaotic side. One moment shows her standing upright near the kitchen cabinets. Another shows her bundled in a red jacket outside, stomping through snow on a metal porch. She also appears on an outdoor step, turning her body with tiny but determined movements. The upbeat “Funkytown” audio adds to the reel’s playful rhythm.

Penelope’s toy routine is another highlight. Instead of picking one plush toy, she heads straight toward a large bin packed with them. Several toys spill out as she pushes into the pile. That small mess makes the scene even funnier. Bulldogs are often known for their stubborn, expressive, and affectionate behavior. Penelope fits that image in her own way. Her low build, steady gaze, and dramatic movements make each small action seem larger.

The rescue dog also has a softer side. One shot shows her sleeping upside down on a blanket, with her tongue slightly out as someone pets her. It gives the reel a sweet pause before the next burst of personality. Fans loved Penelope’s charm in the comments. One wrote, “Things that make Penelope perfect.” Another said, “I love Penelope’s spin kicks.” A third added, “I don’t think Penelope has enough toys. She needs more toys.”
