Two dogs may belong to the same breed, but their personalities can feel worlds apart, especially when one is still a playful puppy. A video shared by Instagram account @goldengoodboyss highlights this perfectly through the reactions of a six-year-old Golden Retriever and a 14-week-old puppy during a casual outing with their owner.
In the clip, both dogs accompany their dad as he watches a game of padel. The older Golden Retriever stands beside him calmly, appearing completely absorbed in the match. Relaxed and composed, the dog allows his dad to gently stroke his chest while remaining focused on the game.
The younger pup, however, brings a completely different energy to the scene. When dad picks him up, the puppy immediately begins squirming and wriggling, clearly eager to get back on the ground. His restless movements and impatient expressions suggest he would rather run around and explore than sit still and watch sports. Despite the puppy’s protests, the dad continues showering him with affection.
Their owner captioned the post, “The actual difference in behaviours… love ya dad.” These words captured the humorous contrast between the calm adult dog and the energetic youngster.
