This rescue dog loves to snuggle with his dad on the couch, and the cute scene is enough to melt viewers’ hearts. It’s a known fact that dogs love spending time with their favorite humans. They leave no stone unturned in making them feel loved and shower them with affection. However, sometimes rescue dogs are shy in the beginning and take time to build trust, even when they deeply love their owners, as shown in this video.
Rescue dog still needs dad to tell him to get on the couch so they can snuggle together
This rescue dog still needs to be told to get on the couch by his dad so they can snuggle together. The video was shared by @cactustherescue on Instagram. It features a rescue dog named Cactus, who was rescued from a desert in California. Now, the fur baby lives a comfortable and cozy life with his dad.
However, Cactus still has a long way to go when it comes to joining his dad during snuggle time. It’s as if he is disciplined enough to get on the couch only when he is told to. In the clip, Cactus is seen sitting on a mat when, in the voiceover, his dad asks him if he wants to hang out on the couch.
The dog, who was just moments ago sitting peacefully, tilts his head as if nodding yes. As the dad says, “Come on,” he immediately gets up without wasting another moment. He follows along as his dad once again encourages him to join him on the couch.
The clip then shows the two lying on the couch, embracing in a sweet cuddle. Cactus gets petted, and he reciprocates by wrapping his paws around his dad, almost like a hug. The video ends with them enjoying a peaceful nap together. The paw parent jokingly wrote in the caption that it was a “quick yes from Cactus.”
