A viral video shared by Big Dog Ranch Rescue shows numerous Beagles enjoying life after another group of Ridglan Farms Beagles arrived at the organization’s care facilities.
The rescue said 325 additional Beagles reached its campuses over the last two days, calling it a major milestone as the final adult dogs from Ridglan begin moving into their next chapter.

The footage shows volunteers carrying and guiding the former Ridglan Farms Beagles into outdoor spaces where everything appears brand new. Some investigate pools. Some splash around. Some stop every few feet to sniff something interesting. Others seem perfectly content just following the pack.
The video has already received nearly 28,000 likes, with viewers celebrating each small moment. One commenter wrote, “This such a beautiful thing to witness… truly a moment in history.” Another said, “To see those precious babies swimming and living like a dog makes me cry every time.”
The arrivals come after news that Ridglan Farms, a Wisconsin breeding and research facility that had drawn years of criticism and protests from animal welfare groups, is reportedly shutting down. According to the caption on their Facebook post, Big Dog Ranch Rescue “has secured a binding agreement for the permanent closure of Ridglan Farms and the transfer of all remaining Beagles to rescue, completing the rescue of 2,110 dogs.”
At a press conference announcing the development, Big Dog Ranch Rescue founder Lauree Simmons said, “Not one dog will remain. No more breeding, no more testing, no more anything.”
For the rescue, the work is far from over. Many of the dogs will still need veterinary care, spay and neuter procedures, and foster and adoption placement. Watching the Ridglan Farms Beagles be rescued has warmed many hearts all over the world.
