Finding out one of your favorite rescue pups finally got his happy ending is the best kind of news to wake up to. And Vivian Powers recently shared the most incredible update about a sweet boy named Tucker over at @vivspowers. This lucky shelter dog spent a long time waiting for the right person to notice his gentle soul. After a previous adoption did not work out, Tucker’s future family stepped up to try a short sleepover with him. Soon, it did not take long for everyone to realize he had actually found his forever home already.

The footage from @vivspowers shows Vivian at the shelter while Tucker gets some very well-deserved chin scratches from a friendly volunteer. He looks so calm and peaceful compared to the noisy kennel environment he’s used to.
Vivian announced the adoption update in the caption and later, viewers see Tucker in the car with his new family, ready to start his love-filled life. Then, the video cuts to a montage of still shots of him hanging out in the park with his new black lab brother, Kobe.
The two fur babies run around together while Tucker tries to sneak a ball away from his elder sibling. They pose together on the grass and even in the car. Moreover, there’s a family photograph with his new parents.
Sadly, the journey was not always this smooth for Tucker. Vivian mentioned she was having a meltdown when he originally came back to the shelter after six days. His first family claimed he would not listen or bond with them.
But soon after, Tucker’s new mom reached out to Vivian and asked for a sleepover to see if they were a match. That weekend turned into a foster stay, and soon they were falling in love. Now, his dad literally has to hold him back because he gets so sad when his mom leaves.
One week in a foster home made a big difference for Tucker’s confidence levels. He even delivered coffee to the staff at the shelter recently. Many workers could not believe he was the same quiet pup from before.
It’s all because his parents gave the sweet canine the patience to decompress at his own pace without any pressure. Furthermore, Tucker’s old life is documented in a previous video of him still looking for a forever home and the transformation is just so heartwarming. No wonder nearly a thousand people have liked this update on his new life.
