They have a gorgeous Golden Retriever named Wally, and found the ultimate solution to a scorching summer day in Boston. His hilarious lifestyle is the main attraction on @wally.meets.world, and a new viral video shows his parents surprising him with a trendy inflatable pool. He completely loses his mind with excitement, even though his afternoon relaxation session takes a hilariously messy turn by the end.
Golden Retriever can’t hide joy as he gets his very own pool
The video starts with his mom, Jules, explaining that her surprise did not go exactly as planned, and later on, we see why. Her husband, Tom, helps place the inflatable pool on the deck while Wally closely supervises the entire operation. He refuses to wait a single second before testing it out. The eager Golden Retriever climbs right into the empty lounge pool and gets comfortable on the dry plastic before the hose even turns on. His parents laugh and tell him to be patient because they still need to fill it with water.
Once the base fills up, Wally returns to the patio and hesitates at the edge. He steps a single paw in, completely caught off guard by the wet sensation. Dad reassures him that everything is fine while the cautious pup slowly lowers his entire body into the refreshing water.
He wags his tail with appreciation as Mom hops in to share the cool space, too. This breed naturally adores water, but as we learn from Mom, Wally prefers lounging over actual swimming laps. The overwhelming happiness quickly triggers a serious case of the outdoor zoomies.
He sprints wild circles around the grass before coming back to launch himself into the water, instantly turning it into a muddy mess. Then, he grabs his favorite ball and pants happily in the brown muck, cool as a cucumber.
This adorable video quickly earned over 20.8k likes from delighted viewers. One follower joked that somebody needs to bring Wally a drink with an umbrella because he looks like the poster boy of the cool summer life.
