Michi, the Shih Tzu mix puppy’s dad, just got home, and he cannot keep calm about it. An adorable Instagram video from @michi.the.pup shows the pup acting like the best thing that could ever happen to him is his dad returning home to him — and honestly, it is understandable.
His video has people grinning from ear to ear because the pup perches on his hind legs and keeps scratching the door with his front paws. But the best thing is that his whole body is wiggling so hard it even confuses his mom.
Puppy can’t contain excitement while welcoming dad home
Michi’s mom notices how excited the puppy is with her dad coming home, as she asks, “Oh, my goodness, you’re going crazy. Who’s here?” The moment his dad knocks, Michi steps back just enough to keep dancing on two legs, his tail still wagging back and forth at basically the maximum speed possible — and when the door swings open, the reunion is as sweet as you might imagine.
The pup keeps wiggling on the doorstep, soaking up every “hello, buddy,” while his dad keeps asking, “Are you okay?” His mom answers for him, saying, “He was jumping and jumping.” The caption under the video says, “I also get super excited when dad comes home,” adding that the puppy is “just so excited about everyone.”
Viewers in the comments sounded just as happy as Michi himself.
