The video reveals that she spent her whole life surviving on the streets. Now, Curly gets the opportunity to take her first trip to the beach — and watching her sprint across the sand is as heartwarming as it gets.

The on-screen captions in the video by @wearehappydoggo narrate the story of the former street dog before she ever knew what being safe meant. It begins with Curly running on the street and hiding under a car, as the on-screen text reads, “Born on the streets,” followed by “Years of looking over her shoulder.”
Then the tone changes with, “Today, the ground felt different,” as the camera follows Curly racing along the shore. She enjoys the moment with an expression of freedom, and who would not want it, especially after years of living on the edge?
In the caption, Happy Doggo explains, “Curly lived her whole life on the streets until recently,” adding, “We found Curly hiding under cars to escape bigger dogs,” and “She deserved better than a life spent in the shadows, so we brought her to Happy Doggo Land.” Then, the caption also notes, “Today was her first trip to the beach and watching her running on the sand is everything.” And it truly is.
The rescue continued, “She’s safe now, but she’s still waiting for the most important part of her journey… A forever home.” And looking at the comments, she may hopefully find one pretty soon.
